Is The Door Locked?
Part 4 of 6 in the series “Getting Out Of The Doghouse”

Reading: This week read the Old Testament book of Song of Solomon.  Write down a few examples in this story about the passion and love that is being expressed.  Can you find any suggestions of sexual intimacy in this story?

There are 3 assignments this week for The Next Step

ę  Create your sex plan with your spouse. Address issues of frequency, location, and preferences.  Remember, if you can’t talk about it outside of the bedroom, it’s not likely to get any better inside the bedroom.

ę  Look through the list of forbidden sexual areas listed from the Bible.  Are there any of these type of activities that need to be discussed as a couple?  For example: if a man is addicted to pornography, the possibility of his wife being free in the bedroom is not likely.

ę  Practice, practice, practice!  Would you commit to having sex with your spouse at least twice per week over the course of the next 3 weeks? After the 3 weeks is over, discuss together whether your sex life is healthy, needs improvement, or is in need of serious help.  Only through honest evaluation will a couple have the opportunity to grow and find intimacy in the bedroom.
