Over the next 2 weeks we’ll be building toward the celebration of Easter Sunday. Your Next Step assignment is to be reading through the gospel accounts of the final week of the life of Jesus. As you read, try to prepare your thoughts for what was taking place during the final week.

« What was the pulse of the people?

« Where were the disciples at in this journey?

« What was Jesus’ main focus during the final week?

« How would the events of the crucifixion and the resurrection affect those seeking to follow Jesus?

It might be helpful to write down your notes, thoughts, and questions as you read.

Another help might be to watch the movie, “The Passion of the Christ”. This movie, while only an interpretation of the events that took place, will serve you well in creating a visual image of the culture of the day and the graphic nature of the crucifixion.

On Sunday April 5^th, we’ll be celebrating and teaching about the significance of the Lord’s Supper

On Sunday April 12^th, we’ll be outdoors celebrating Easter Sunday, and sharing stories of Life Change through baptism

John 12-21

If you are using the Next Step for Life Group meetings, this would be a good opportunity to watch “The Passion of the Christ” or to discuss the events of the final week as a group
