STEP ONE:  (Be yourself)

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Psalm 139:14-16

“By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.”

Hebrews 11:24

“He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.”

Hebrews 11:25

STEP TWO:  (Love God)

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.’ ”

Matthew 22:37-38

(Worship) Him

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.  God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

John 4:23-24

 (Grow closer) to Him

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and forever!  Amen.”

2 Peter 3:18

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Romans 12:2

 (Tell others about) Him

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.’ ”

Mark 16:15

“ . . . I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

John 10:10b

STEP THREE:  (Love people)

“ ’And the second is like it:  Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

Matthew 22:39

“ ’A new command I give you:  Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’ ”

John 13:34-35

 (Accept) everyone

“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”

Romans 15:7

 (Appreciate) everyone

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”

Philippians 2:3

 (Affirm) everyone

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11
