MYTH #16

(Time) will make our marriage better because (time) heals all wounds

TRUTH

(Time) itself does not heal, but it is (what is done) within the time that brings about (change)

(Today) comes only (once) . . . it is (my) day of (opportunity)

TIME IS THE (DURATION) OF ONE’S LIFE

HOURS AND DAYS WHICH A PERSON HAS AT HIS DISPOSAL AS A (RESOURCE)

TWO WAYS YOU CHOOSE TO RESPOND TO THE RESOURCE OF TIME:

Ä   (Pass) time:  delay or (postpone) moving toward a goal - usually unproductive

Ä   (Make) time:  (accomplish) as much as we can in a given amount of time

QUESTION FOR THOUGHT

With regard to your marriage or your life – are you simply passing time (hoping time will heal your hurts or your marriage)?  Or are you making time (doing something to make it happen)?

A successful marriage or life is one that deals (honestly) and (responsibly) with its problems

PRACTICAL

If I (sow) nothing, I will (reap) nothing

The choices we make are writing the next chapters of our life

WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO WITH MY TIME TO HEAL?

r   (Admit) there is a problem

r   The first relationship I have to mend is (my relationship) with (Christ)

r   Realize I can only change (myself)

r   Look at my (heart)

“Not by way of eye service, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.”

Ephesians 6:6
